Upside-down, The Good Newsletter 2020 - Week 9

The weekly interactive newsletter sent out by Plukrijp to its members

For people living NOW the school of life

For YOU to send all your good news to

upside down = instead of announcing what we plan to do
(& most often find out we do not need to do), we relate what we really did

Building communities of trust is fundamental to healing our collective wound. At Plukrijp, we offer spaces of transparency and solidarity. The community allows people to encounter each other in truth and so develop trust.
We do the garden for YOU
Plukrijp functions on your frequent visits & harvests. Take along for friends & neighbours, this way we recreate real networks between us all, breaking down the illusory restrictions that now still separate many of us from our fellow man = UBUNTU.

What you can harvest now:

Jerusalem artichokes, parsnip, potatoes, carrots, celery, chards, chives, salads, rucola, chervil, spinach, purslane, mustards of all colors & textures, Brussels sprouts, fresh herbs for taste & medicine.

This week @ Plukrijp

A week where we were reminded of how small we humans are. We loudly claim our "choices" & our "supremacy" & our so-called consciousness while we have scarcely evolved beyond (or maybe even lost brain content) our cave-dwelling, menhir-erecting, pyramid-building, ancestors.

In one week the sky gave us all the water we had been missing in 2019. In the form of storms, hail, snow-flakes & sudden temperature changes.

From our former experiences with soil fertility we knew better than to do anything to the soil in these circumstances. Instead, we continued the library & wiki & zotero cataloguing work. We spent time reaching out to each other. Winter life from the cozy old (1845) farmhouse, now totally functioning as a community center. Seeing volunteers & (ex-)neighbors showing up full of good will & nice memories of summers past proved to us that the seeding taking place here is more than vegetables.

Celebrating anniversaries with our special song: happy birthday to you, you belong in the zoo etc. Welcoming the differences between all of us while helping lost souls to reconnect to sanity, away from the fakebook-induced trances of pseudo-spirituality & magical thinking.

We did:
Prepare 2 lines of pots for Lieven to come & seed them with his Velt amateur team. Spring wakes up the drive to seed & grow in many, but limited space in the kitchen & limited imagination in the gardens tends to limit what people eventually "do".

With self-made ripe compost & seeds collected in our own gardens, we can re-green the earth & fix billions of tons of co2. If we could calm down the bulldozer/poison/building frenzy for only a few years, the climate change that threatens & bothers us so much now could be reversed. No miracle technology needed!

May spring 2020 be the turning point where humans (homo sapiens sapiens ?????) stopped destroying & allowed & helped nature redress the damage of the last 50-60 years of industrial agriculture, global transport & tourism, populism& excessive control  etc.
We covered the sprouting plants in our closed tunnels against cold nights.

In the garden this moment in time is the end of much of the 2019 harvests, now going to seed, while it is the timid beginning of the 2020 campaign.

The beautiful salad plants we received will add their mass to the big variety of new greens we seeded in the pots & on the raised beds.

The peas are reaching out to the sky, throwing up their tendrils to attach themselves to the wire. Will flowers come soon? Many flower beds are beaming their "good news" already & Martine's pots are waiting to be distributed over the place. Thank you Martine for the yearly beauty you pleasure for Frank to see the greening of Martine's thumb.
We took advantage of the excess water that has fallen to knock the posts holding our raised beds together deeper into the ground. Pickets of wood went in deeper since the mud offered less resistance. Pickets of scrap iron were added where needed.

We can not put enough light on the enormous advantages of raised beds in permaculture gardens. Multiplying the thickness of the humus layer brings extra fertility, extra resistance to dry & wet & cold extremes & turns gardening into a daily pleasure.

What a change a more general application of the 3 ethical principles, combined with the 7 petals of Holmgren's flower could bring! For agriculture, the no-till/cover crop techniques
( developed & practiced already big-scale in parts of France, Australia & elsewhere could bring! See the many texts & videos of Claude & Lydia Bourguignon on the net.
We shared:

A discussion on spirituality versus new age spiritism for Sophie. The whole group collaborated. Sharing is our technique to give everybody the chance to REALLY make up their mind. Inviting people to try & look at things from different perspectives is so much better than speeches & debates from fixed points of view.

We watched a botched documentary on archaeology  Clearly the resistance to reviewing the fixed time-line of prehistory is too dangerous for academia. Carbon dating keeps pushing dates of ancient civilizations back. Eventually we might escape the white/monotheist dogma is history & reach a wave-like conception of time & space. Geological discoveries of the last 100 years are awaiting to be integrated into the progress-trance now sold to us by (often) 19th century historical narratives. Check out the controversy around Gobekle tepe ( Ignore the Wikipedia censorship please. These guys are paid by the fossil fuel lobby to smear any new approach to science, history, ecology or technology.

We enjoyed 2 evenings around the music of Bob Dylan. This guy really shaped generations.

Interesting Movies & Documentaries
Summerhill School (2008) -AMAZING- Best Freedom Movie Ever!!

We watched the movie made by the Summerhill School in the UK, based on real experiences and events at the school. Based on the philosophy of (and formerly run by) A.S. Neill, the school is run by the school council in democratic fashion, in which all residents, children and adults, have equal voting rights. Children don’t have to attend any lessons if they don’t want to. Far from being chaos, the school functions incredibly well, resulting in kids with a healthy self-esteem, broad knowledge, social development and a sense of wonder for the world (all of which are inherent in any child; just look at any 3 year old that hasn’t been tortured by society yet). The movie displays the story of the lawsuit against the school by the UK government and portrays beautifully the processes different children go through on being confronted with freedom.

Alfred North Whitehead, mathematician and philosopher, 20th century, about education:
A child’s mind: a growing organism instead of a box in which you dump ideas.
3 cyclic stages: The first stage is all about “free exploration, initiated by wonder”, the second about the disciplined “acquirement of technique and detailed knowledge”, and the third about “the free application of what has been learned”
The subjective feeling of the information, recognizing the beauty and value in it is as important as the information itself. It needs to be related to that stream of sense perceptions, feelings, hope, desires, and the thoughts that form our lives.
Also: The importance of utilizing, testing, and combining the information. Also the importance of finding/seeing the beauty, importance and possibilities in the information given so it can be turned into knowledge. Otherwise it is one ear in, and out the other.
Beautiful explanation of culture:
Culture as an activity of thought, and receptiveness of beauty and humane feeling. Scraps of information have nothing to do with it.

Dean Radin | Expanding the Scope of Mind-Matter Interaction Experiments
Many types of physical systems have been explored in mind-matter interaction experiments. But when considering the full range of physical targets that could be explored, research to date has just scratched the surface. Our current work is expanding the types of physical targets used in mind-matter experiments, focusing on photons and electrons. These studies include entanglement, polarization, and wave-particle properties of photons, and electrical plasma. This talk will review the design and results of these on-going experiments.

Reflections – The Importance of Self-work
By Bernhard Guenther, November 10th, 2010

Lately I’ve been in a more introspective mood. There is a lot happening in the world outside and within, the inner world. Self-work always entails a certain struggle and conflict in order to confront the predator within. According to traditional esoteric teachings, without friction there is no conscious evolution. Suffering is the catalyst for growth if it is transmuted accordingly, the work to own the shadow and not suppress it or project it, within and without. The battle inside, to manifest the real “I”, the center of true Being, Knowledge and Love.  John Lennon said, “all you need is love” and you hear it everywhere these days in the New Age World that “love is the answer”. Yes, love is the answer, but we first need to really know what love is. It is a word that is and has been abused and mistaken for many things.

I’m talking about Love not in the sense of sentimental emotions, affection, romance or attachment, but of true Knowing and Understanding, the Kingdom and Wholeness within. If one looks into accounts of Near-Death experiences and what people have “seen” or realized, there is a common theme: This profound experience of “objective” Love, which is not related to the Love as the human personality experiences it and cannot even be expressed in words. It can only be described as what it is not. They can’t truly explain what they experienced or what love is but only what it isn’t. It is for example, as Eric Pearl said, “not a sentimental, get a tear, ‘feel someone’s pain’ feeling, not an emotion. It is beyond sentiment or feeling someone else in this form, but relates more to an all expansive, knowing and understanding.” Love is a higher state of awareness/being/consciousness and not a “feeling” as Love is often confused as.

“The problem is not the term “love”, the problem is the interpretation of the term. Those on third density have a tendency to confuse the issue horribly. After all, they confuse many things as love. When the actual definition of love as you know it is not correct either. It is not necessarily a feeling that one has that can also be interpreted as an emotion, but rather, as we have told you before, the essence of light which is knowledge is love, and this has been corrupted when it is said that love leads to illumination. Love is Light is Knowledge. Love makes no sense when common definitions are used as they are in your environment.

To love you must know.
And to know is to have light.
And to have light is to love.
And to have knowledge is to love.”

P.S. : In the text they refer twice to the RA material. These are - as you may or may not know - channelings done by a group called 'l/l research'. They channel the RA material, and also a Consciousness called qu'o. In both they deal a lot with balancing love and wisdom. Wisdom here defined as 'knowing that you are beyond illusion', and Love as - even though you know you are All - 'you still pretend to be a seperate person to experience'. A paradox.

The Release Ratio: How to Make Use of Everything You Know
(Published on November 6, 2019 by Lawrence Yeo)

The mind is just like the stomach. Give it too much stuff without the proper release, and you’ll get sick.

When you consume content, it’s good up to a certain point. It’s great to learn more about the world, but then you must follow that up with: “Okay, so what do I do with all this information?”

If you never act on that question, then content consumption turns into an unhealthy addiction. You start tricking yourself into believing that knowledge acquisition is the end goal. This is when Mr. Podcast, Mrs. Video, and Mr. Book are no longer useful, regardless of how rich in quality they are.

They quickly become empty calories: pseudo-foods that make you feel like you’ve accomplished something simply by consuming them.

To convert this fuel into something productive, there’s really only one thing we can do: introducing the release ratio.
News from Richard Perkins

Richard&Yohanna have been doing incredible things these last 5 years, creating a profitable perma-farm from scratch on a very tight budget, paying off their debt, welcoming many interns&volunteers&students, inspiring&helping start-ups of many new farms. This year he goes on a tour to visit the many farms he helped start up. If you can, support him moneywise&send him suggestions on where to visit. For me he is the best example of what open dynamic sharing can achieve. Giving freely leads to an abundance nobody can imagine.

Inspiring Song
The most beautiful love song ever
“All I Really Want to Do” by Bob Dylan
I ain't lookin' to compete with you
Beat or cheat or mistreat you
Simplify you, classify you
Deny, defy or crucify you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you
No, and I ain't lookin' to fight with you
Frighten you or uptighten you
Drag you down or drain you down
Chain you down or bring you down
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you
I ain't lookin' to block you up
Shock or knock or lock you up
Analyze you, categorize you
Finalize you or advertise you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you
I don't want to straight-face you
Race or chase you, track or trace you
Or disgrace you or displace you
Or define you or confine you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you
I don't want to meet your kin
Make you spin or do you in
Or select you or dissect you
Or inspect you or reject you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you
I don't want to fake you out
Take or shake or forsake you out
I ain't lookin' for you to feel like me
See like me or be like me
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you

Inspiring Book

George W Bush's infamous response to 9/11 was to order citizens to show their patriotic backbone by getting on with the business of shopping. But the imperative to shop is not as straightforward as it looks. It turns leisure into fetish and obligation, and a paradox of consumerism is that it is also a form of denial. Society now faces Debord's ceaseless manufacture of "pseudo-needs"; Marx's subservience to "inhuman, depraved, unnatural and imaginary appetites"; and what the present Pope has called modernity's "dictatorship of relativism", whose highest goals are to serve personal ego and desire.

There are 24 million compulsive shoppers in the US. According to a study commissioned by Yahoo!, members of the My Media generation can, by multi-tasking, fit up to 44 hours of activity into one day. With desire propelled in excess of the speed of light anything is possible, hence the growing number of internet addiction disorder clinics in the US. Shopping also functions like pornography, another form of accelerated desire with an emphasis on repetition. For the first time in history, a society has felt its economic survival demands a kind of "controlled regression, a culture that promotes puerility rather than maturation".

Simplifications were made to a popular Sony/LucasArts online game because it was felt there was too much reading involved and, according to its senior game director, "We wanted more instant gratification: kill, get treasure, repeat". Watching a four-year-old wrestle with consumer choice, when faced with the "kidquake of kid-directed goods and services", is to see a child confused by being asked to behave like an adult. In a declining global consumer economy, children have become necessary targets.

Benjamin Barber fears that this process of infantilisation, combined with the associated practices of branding and privatisation, threatens democracy. Privatisation has merely privatised corruption and inequality without providing more adequate supplies or even turning much of a profit. True, but Barber undermines his argument with his susceptibility to pseudo-profundities, such as the idea that conspicuous consumption stems from a fear of death, and sentimental nonsense such as, "All of Hollywood at its best is not the equal in variety or originality of a single summer day's walk in a public park".

When he turns to Hollywood, the wheels fall off his argument altogether. He likens the increasing speed of cutting in film and video to a form of addiction, then compares it with the slower Hollywood films of the 1930s without grasping that such rapid cutting and camera movement were technically impossible then; or that, thanks to the VCR and remote control, we have become capable of absorbing information at much faster rates.

Barber, of course, disapproves of fast food and the decline of the seated meal but his language is so coagulated that it makes you want never to sit down at table again and "break bread together or dine or share a repast". What he fails to take into account is changing domestic practice, and, in his alarm, he misses the obvious mutation. If capitalism continues uninterrupted, then the cure of self-restraint will become another commercial facet of consumerism, like weight-watching or dieting or healthy eating - just another giant business in its own right.

It's wise never to ask another for what you want.
No, don't ask me.
No, not even yourself.
Just give thanks, in advance. As if you already had whatever it is the "old-you" would have asked for.
Oh, and by the way, thanks (in advance) for loving every fiber of your supernatural self, as much as I do.

Fear or virus or both?

A bit wider perspective is needed to understand what exactly is going on (extract from a text of Bernhard Gunther)

There is much to be said about the recent Coronavirus “epidemic” and the origin of the virus – if it’s man-made, a bio-weapon, related to 5G, or just a “natural” mutation – or if there even is a virus, to begin with.

On a basic level, they want to lower the frequency of the collective by instilling fear by any means. The fear virus in the environmental/collective consciousness is more contagious than any disease-virus. On a metaphysical level, fear weakens the aura/protective shield which negatively affects the immune system on a physical level, making one more susceptible to any disease/virus, even just the common flu/cold, hence more “cases” to possibly manipulate the numbers as Jon Rappoport pointed out in his article “Coronavirus Covert Operation”.

Fear makes people act irrational, and then they are easier controlled, willingly giving up freedom, rights, etc. It activates the reptilian brain of pure physical survival instinct.

It’s easier to mind control people when they are in a state of fear. People then also start to police each other and keep each other in check. They can even become afraid of each other because of fear of getting infected. They turn into authoritarian followers to the extreme, following all orders, laws, and rules without questioning driven by fear (most people anyway).

They may also want to trigger a social/economic “meltdown”, “shortage”, and travel restrictions to keep “people in check” and then appear as the “saviors” to bring the “cure” (i.e. vaccine), create new systems, regulations, and laws they’ve been waiting to implement anyway but needed a “reason” to do so.

So, first of all, check yourself when you sense FEAR creeping in. Reject it from your consciousness. Literally, don’t believe any thoughts of fear or worry. This is the most important protection, regardless if the coronavirus is real or not or whatever the agenda is. Remember, their goal is to get you into a state of fear first and foremost as they’ve always attempted throughout the years with other “scary” news, “threats, and “epidemics”.

If you want to get more reliable information about the coronavirus and epidemics in general, look at the blog of Jon Rappoport . He’s been exposing the medical mafia cartel and “epidemics” for 19 years.
