We do the garden for YOU

This week @ Plukrijp

A week of transition between 2019&2020

We know that our Plukrijp-readers & volunteers are involved in changing the actual paradigm of violence & isolation into one of co-creation, so we just wish for 2020 that you will continue to realize your wishes.

We trust that all of you carry the ealing diamond deep inside. Our inner core can not be extinguished by fear & threats of violence. Dieter Duhm, of our (big)sister community in Portugal wrote a text:

We did:

Sort the pumpkins. Lots of orange ones, a few boxes of the deep green Hokkaido variety we will keep for seeding. Pumpkins grow a strong skin in a dry, not cold storage place.

Bring new wood for the big stove & made 2 reserve trailers close by in case of sudden (???) frost or snow. Up till now, the weather has been unbelievably mild.

Cut the hedges & trees. Harvesting wood for fire, twigs for chicken compost & wood chips for our compost toilet, while sequestering carbon in the form of fertility = the real permaculture way

Sort the carrots that we are preserving under a layer of white sand

We watched/shared/enjoyed:
“Eyes wide shut” a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece on the many implications of secret societies in our daily lives.

Jimmy Nelson's beautiful pictures from around the world.

Our Dutch parody on family life called
"Familie van der Ploeg"

“The game changers” on Netflix, an American pr on steroids for "plant based food".

We watched a video on “The Kin School”, an alternative boarding school in Russia. The school is built entirely (physically) by the hands of the students. The students learn subjects in their entirety in one go: so the entire chemistry course of high school in one go, at whatever age a student is interested. Additionally, the courses are taught by students who have already mastered the material. They spent time designing the courses themselves. Subjects range from dance to gardening to mathematics to martial arts. The results really speak for themselves. You only have to look at the pride and lust for life these children exude to know they're doing something right there! Very inspiring and humbling stuff; it truly shows what can be achieved by living together with all heads aimed at growth. Their website (all in Russian; I use these guys' app to translate inline Their youtube channel: Enjoy!
“Dr Katz”, our new series on the funny aspects of psychiatry. Of course, psychiatry without pills.

We spent the old-to-new evening exchanging evaluations & expectations & (as
they say: the road to hell is paved with good) intentions for 2020

Our special moment of emotion came one day later with Otis Redding's "Try a little tenderness"
Interesting Movies & Documentaries
“Eyes wide shut” a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece
on the many implications of secret societies in our daily lives.
“The game changers” (on Netflix)
is an American PR on steroids for "plant based food". We hope there are better reasons to eat less or no animal foods. Do we really need to be convinced to eat like our ancestors have been eating for the last 200.000 years at least? This meat/dairy obsession dates back only from after World War 2 when the American food industry forced industrial agriculture upon us. With all the negative consequences we are drowning in NOW.
“The Kin school” is a very inspiring documentary on a Russian free school.
"All children are endowed with genius, talent and creativity, that's why we don't test their IQ. It's important to see that as long as a child's heart is open they're a genius. So to awaken their genius you need to open their heart, remove complexes, tension and fear. Once these are removed you see before you a genius who is already on their right path."

- Principal teacher of The Kin School, Tekos, Russia
“Dr Katz”, our new series on the funny aspects of psychiatry. Of course, psychiatry without pills.
This presentation, adapted for this conference, is based on “When The Body Says No”, a best-selling book that has been translated into more than twelve languages on five continents.

Stress is ubiquitous these days — it plays a role in the workplace, in the home, and virtually everywhere that people interact. It can take a heavy toll on individuals unless it is recognized and managed effectively and insightfully. This is even more true for parents, family members and caregivers of individuals with neuro-behavioral disorders such as FASD, and if left unchecked, accumulated stress goes on to undermine immunity, disrupts the body's physiological milieu and can prepare the ground for a multitude chronic diseases and conditions.

When the body says no - Gabor Maté

Pain in the gut is one signal the body uses to send messages that are difficult for us to ignore.

Thus, pain is also a mode of perception.

Physiologically, the pain pathways channel information that we have blocked from reaching us by more direct routes.

Pain is a powerful secondary mode of perception to alert us when our primary modes have shut down.

It provides us with data that we ignore at our own peril.

Comes of Age
Becomes Old
And Dies...
Everything Changes
And It Is Good!
It Means We Have Many Chances to Love
The More you Love, the Richer you are
When the Idea of Permanence is Dropped
Jealousy Becomes Meaningless
There is no surer way to ruin a good discussion
than to contaminate it with the facts.

Abundance vs Lack
Written by Joshka

Two states of mind: Abundance and Lack. Our world sets us up to be in the latter. People who feel they are missing something, who have a hole in their soul, will endlessly try to fill it. With food, with comfort, with entertainment, with drugs, with attention, with sex, with pain… And that’s damn convenient if you’re a big company and need to sell. If the worlds marvels are scarce and we need to make sure we grab our piece of the cake, we will consume and consume. To no avail though; it is false relief. Nothing can fill the hole, because it’s not about the things you’re consuming but about your state of mind. The moment you get your desired fruit, it turns to ashes in your mouth.

Shifting to a state of abundance, knowing there is and will always be enough to go around, is the cure. An absolute abundance of love, food, money, beauty, bliss, divinity. Life is good and if you put yourself at its service, freely giving your greatest gift, you will find yourself carried by it. Meeting the people you need to meet, learning the lessons you need to learn, experiencing the pain you need to experience.

From a state of lack, you close yourself off from the abundance that Life offers. From lack, you can only see what’s missing, the things you deserve that are not there yet; how dare Life withhold from you your greatest desires?! INDIGNATION! I’m going to file a complaint! What’s your name?

It is not about what you want. By seeing the beauty of what is, you will meet what you need. Don’t be square, go for abundance.

The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
The law of ascent and descent
By Bernhard Gunther

The misconception of many New Age and pop-spiritual teaching is that the “ascension” or “awakening” process is a straight road up to ever more bliss and love. That’s why many people get hooked on peak experiences and can create what is called in esoteric science, a false foundation, resulting in faux “enlightenment” experiences.

These deceptive peak experiences can be installed via psychedelics/medicine plants or even with certain meditation techniques, resulting in dissociation which can create an artificial “bliss” experience by going out of the body.

In fact, if you meditate “correctly” and you are able to dive deep into your body, dissolving all the tension, armor and defenses you are holding on to unconsciously, it will bring you your wounds and pain which can be very uncomfortable. But it’s only in this state of discomfort where real healing happens, facing your fears and wounds.

You can only truly rise into higher levels of being as deep as you are willing (or able) to go into the shadow and darkness of yourself, revealing all trauma and wounds that have accumulated over lifetimes. That is the law of ascent and descent. The path towards awakening spirals up, down, in, out, back, and forth; expanding on all levels and bringing up everything. Anything that is asleep within us (unconscious) will be put under the spotlight of Truth.

“No one can reach heaven who has not passed through hell.”  – Sri Aurobindo

Throughout my life, I noticed that the deeper and lower I fell and was able to work through and transmute the suffering, wounds, and trauma, the higher I was able to rise; the descent and ascent at the same time.

I also realized how little control that who I “think” I am actually had over this process. The suffering also initiated a deep longing within me to (re)unite with the Divine, the only true source of Light, Joy, and Love (in the true meaning of these words beyond the New Age distortions).

It also created more embodied compassion, love, and kindness for myself and others. In other words — pure unconditional love. I also realized that the more sincerely I aspired towards the Divine – my true self – and engaged in the necessary inner work to anchor the higher frequencies of soul-individualization (embodiment), the more my lower nature resisted (and in fact, the Light (Divine) shined a merciless light into the darkest corners of my psyche/Being, bringing all up that needs to rise and be transmuted). At the same time, the less I am/was able to lie to myself, engage in spiritual bypassing or rationalize it all away, but the more I took responsibility for everything in my life.
