Plukrijp.be vzw – Upside-down the good newsletter
2022 – week 44
Upside down = instead of announcing what we plan to do
(& most often find out we do not need to do), we relate what we really did
Building communities of trust is fundamental
to healing our collective wound.
At Plukrijp, we offer spaces of transparency and solidarity.
The community allows people to encounter each other
in truth and so develop trust.
We do the garden for YOU
Plukrijp functions on your frequent visits & harvests. Take along for friends & neighbours, this way we recreate real networks between us all, breaking down the illusory restrictions that now still separate many of us from our fellow man = UBUNTU.
The updated list of vegetables & fruit that can be harvested this week is available on our website under the heading “Current Harvest” : https://plukrijp.be/en/op-dit-moment-te-oogsten
This week @ Plukrijp
We seeded corn salad in the left side of closed tunnel 2.
We harvested parsnip, turnips, butternuts, salad, spinach, chard, dill, mustard, winter purslane, parsley, coriander, tomatoes, & all sorts of cabbages.
We celebrated my 56th birthday with great joy and simplicity. Tom, his son Ilan and Jojo gave me a nice day’s walk in Wéris as a gift. What could be better than having my hair in the wind and my eyes marveling at the vestiges of the past together with loving people? We finished the day by eating our weekly spaghetti but this time with party hats and flags! Thank you Camilia for this delicate attention! Jesus offered us his delicious icecream. Daya & Michel, two longtime friends, had deposited two delicious pies which also disappeared in our grateful stomachs. Many thanks to all those who surrounded me with their friendship.
We broke down the blue caravan to the bare bones. This caravan was no longer in good enough condition to accommodate visitors. All that’s left is the metal base structure. We sorted the wood, plastic, electric & metal parts from the caravan to recycle, sell & give away.
We dived into the scrap metal, plastic, & electronic heap that has added up over the years & also sorted this to recycle.
We fixed pallets.
We cut wood for the stove.
We lit the wood stove & made tasty bread with Kombucha. Thanks Martine!
We fixed some tools that broke in peak season, finally taking time to prepare for the next season.
We moved our stock of plastic boxes to the Hei to create more storage space at the farm. This is one of the basic principles of permaculture: the good management of the different zones.

What is Attachment? Attachment Specialist Adam Lane Smith
Unhealthy attachment means a person struggles to believe in any emotional security, so vulnerability to others becomes dangerous and fearful. In fact, vulnerability is utterly terrifying because it could lead to judgment and abandonment as secret imperfections are revealed. Vulnerability may even lead to outright victimization by those around them.
Vulnerability and attachment are linked. A person with broken attachment struggles constantly with worries of abandonment and being forgotten because they don’t believe others really love them for who they are, only for the services they perform. They believe decisions others make will usually conflict with their own needs because the people they love don’t think about them enough to remember their wellbeing, or else they just aren’t important enough to consider. Disagreements and mistakes with poor attachment are often the end of relationships to them because they believe they’ll be abandoned and rejected instantly upon displaying imperfection and will be given no chance to explain or make amends.
In short, a person with unhealthy attachment believes others only love them for the services they perform, that love must be continuously earned, that people will actively fall out of love with them every moment they are not refilling the person’s pleasure meter, and that love can be accidentally destroyed by the slightest mistake.
The Four Attachment Styles of Love
Relationships are hard enough. You don’t need abandonment issues on top of them. When your attachment is broken, when you’re insecure and worried about being left behind or rejected, relationships turn into minefields where you’re just waiting to step on the wrong spot and lose everything.
If you’ve struggled in dating or marriage and worry you’re not good enough, worry no more. Attachment Specialist Adam Lane Smith wrote this guide to show you how to stop fearing abandonment and start building healthy relationships. Through his proven step-by-step method for repairing attachment, Adam will teach you what people really want from you, how to give and receive love without fear, what red flags to avoid, and how you can build a lifetime love with a partner you trust.
Happiness in dating and marriage does not take a miracle. It takes a system for bonding, sharing, and building intimacy that improves through the years. Slaying Your Fear will teach you that system.

and our wildom
Indeed, they create
our courage and our wisdom.
